ARTIST PROFILE

Darrell was born Nov 18, 1970, in the maritime province of Nova Scotia.

Halifax was home to Darrell for the first 20 years of his life.

When he was a young boy he used to fall asleep on a cold snowy Halifax night listening to his favorite songs on the radio by Merle Haggard, Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, and George Jones.

Darrell's influences now are Alan Jackson, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, Keith Whitley, George Strait, & Randy Travis.

Darrell has always loved listening to, playing and performing country music, and in 1990 he ventured into songwriting.

All his friends and fans loved his original songs, so Darrell headed to the west coast of Canada settling in Vancouver, BC.

It didn't take long for Darrell's singing and songwriting talents to be noticed by the west coast music industry.

Darrell was signed to a management contract by Silver Bow Management of Vancouver, BC in 1996.

Currently Darrell is relocated and working out of Halifax, Nova Scotia after a West Coast stint with his band Sugar Mountain Way playing the local circuit around Vancouver, and performing at country music festivals.

Darrell has performed on the same shows with Rick Tippe, The Cruzeros, Steel Horse, Derringer, and Laurie Thain. Darrell is continuously writing new original songs. Darrell plays guitar and sings his own original songs along with contemporary & traditional country cover songs and some rock crossover sounds.
